Americana Music Releases for Sept. 16th

Here’s some the best Americana and roots-type music releases for September 16th, 2022. Click the artist or album links to find out more. The artist’s names link to their websites and the CD title links go to either Amazon, iTunes, Bandcamp or the artist’s site for ordering or downloading.  A + sign means although not a featured release, it’s a notable album that’s still worth checking out.  Also, this page will be updated as I find out about other new releases so check back again.

Adam Hood
Bad Days Better  (Southern Songs)

Raised in Opelika, Alabama, Hood’s rearing didn’t much involve music, but judging by the seemingly synonymous status between his name and a chart-topping country hit, it seems he was born to do it. His self-releases have marked him as a mainstay country artist in his own right. With the help of members of Blackberry Smoke and producer Brent Cobb, Hood calls his newest 10 songs through and through “southern music” – chock full of soul and Hood’s powerful testament to getting better. Hood shared. “This album is really introspective. There’s a lot of soul searching and spiritual stuff on there. I don’t drink anymore so I can actually remember the last time I played. My family life has changed. My life as an artist has changed. I’d say for the better.”  (edited from American Songwriter review)
